Seattle’s GORDON RAPHAEL is an accomplished Musician, Producer, Traveller, and Story-Teller. He is renowned for, among many other bits of Joy, bringing us the first albums from THE STROKES and REGINA SPEKTOR. Earlier in the Arc, he gathered some friends together in Seattle (early-80’s-ish) to lay down just a few of the ideas he was percolating. Chuckie-Boy Records gathered up some of them in 1998, and put them out on a CD called “Sticks and Stoned” (#CB1005).

A few copies of the original CD, with a grand booklet by Seattle photographer and Scene Chronicler CAM GARRETT, are available in the shop. Includes the mighty, stomping opus “I Said” (hear below).

As you may imagine, Gordon’s got a wonderful trove of things to share, both current (he’s doing a lot of Music Production work in Berlin these days), and archival…fascinating stuff ,all ‘round!
